nick s A good old geek-gets-hot-chicks flick. An admirable effort was put into the production and it looks like they had fun. The acting was a bit student level. Though in fairness to the actors comedy is a difficult genre to get right. Dark and funny wish fulfillment piece that could teach us all a lesson or two. Who hasn't had the dream of making our desires as accessible with a single touch? Well the grass isn't always greener on the other side, although you may need a closer look just to be sure.Great cinematography, music, and acting are all on display here. There are also a wider range of locations and cast than you typically might find on an indie film of this scale which adds to production value.There are some great laughs and sticky situations to explore along the way. But as irreverent as this film may seem at first, it has a warm heart beating deep inside. This movie is unlike anything I've seen before, which was a big surprise.It's very easy to make the audience cry or feel sad, but the real challenge is to make them laugh, and this movie does it very well. And I repeat, in a very original way. Cinema has many faces and I am glad to see films like The Midas Touch, because it is a very unique and risky proposal but at the end of the day very well achieved and faithful to its style, with a story that has a lot to offer.Definitely a movie to recommend!
